Courses
One has the opportunity to acquire proficiency in classical music (vocal and instrumental), Rabindrasangeet, Kirtan, Folk songs of Bengal, modern Bengali songs, Nazrulgeeti, songs of Atul Prasad, Rajanikanto and Puratoni Bangla songs.
The college also has a well endowed dance department.
Over and above these facilities the college runs a branch of the renowned Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth of Lucknow from where students can take the Bhatkhande Vidyapeeth’s examinations. This course curriculum includes : Sangeet Visharad, Vadya Visharad and Nritya Visharad.
Recitation and drawing are also taught here.
Bengal Music College provides accreditation to institutions providing training in performing arts and which are located in different parts of the country.
Vocal Music
Where one can learn Rabindrasangeet, classical (course approved by the Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth) and bengali songs.
Instrumental Music
Where one can learn Tabla, Guitar (Hawaiian), Sitar, Violin. All the courses are approved by the Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth.
Dance
Where one can learn Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Lok Nritya, Rabindra Nritya and Creative Dance.
Paintings & Recitation
7 years course is available for Paintings. 6 years course is available for Recitation.
